Jaclyn J. Robertson, Founder and Managing Partner of JR Law Group, specializes in divorce and custody matters. Licensed in both California and Utah, Jaclyn is a passionate advocate and skillfully guides clients through inherently personal and stressful situations. Her cases range from low conflict and straightforward division of assets to high conflict custody battles and or complex martial estates. Her priority is to set clients on a path forward, mitigating the emotional and financial impact of divorce to the fullest extent.

While she works hard to settle cases outside of court, when needed, Jaclyn is uniquely qualified to meet the demands of the courtroom. Formerly a prosecutor with the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s office, Jaclyn knows the intricacies of the courtroom and litigation. Her time at the DA’s office included four years on the domestic violence team, and a year as the appointed special victims prosecutor for the juvenile team. Her experience handling the intense and complex domestic violence and special victims cases, give her a unique perspective and benefits her divorce clients today.

Jaclyn received her undergraduate education at Westminster College, graduating as Outstanding Graduating Student in History, B.A., in 2001. She continued her education at McGeorge School of Law in California, receiving her Juris Doctor Degree in 2004.

Before returning to Utah, in 2006, Jaclyn spent a year on the Hill, in Washington DC, drafting legal memoranda and Op Eds as Legal Assistant in a United States Congressional Office. Jaclyn began her career in 2005 as a civil litigation associate with Porter Simon, a California Law Firm.

Born and raised in Canada, Jaclyn is fluent in French and Canadianisms. She hikes, bikes and explores the Utah Mountains and other beautiful places, whenever time permits. She also loves spending time with her husband and blended family, adventuring with them around Park City and beyond.
